Lavender is believed to have been originated in the Mediterranean, Middle East and India.
Lavender is derived from the Latin term lavare which means to wash.
There are 47 known species of Lavender. Who new there was so many.
Lavendula angustifolia is what most people know as English Lavender. Here at MB Botanicals we grow Lavendula stoechas, which is known as French Lavender or Spanish Lavender.
Lavender is known for helping relieve stress, relax and alleviate headaches, but it is also very beneficial for the skin. It’s healing and restorative which makes it a great oil for acne prone skin. It also has antioxidants that may help slow the aging process.
